Essential Procurement: The Next Level

The showpiece of the Singapore event, the two-day course is essential for mid-level purchasers looking to further develop their craft.

Overview: Over the course of two days, students will learn how to deal with complex procurement challenges, translate company objectives into action and manage conflicting stakeholder perspectives. From pareto and portfolio analysis, negotiation strategies and legal aspects of procurement, to supplier audit strategies, quality control and servitisation, students will be able to further develop their skills as purchasers. A mixture of lectures, interactive workshops, lectures and team sessions will be used throughout the course.

Hydraulic Engineering for Maritime Engineers

New to this year’s repertoire is an exciting two-day course designed for engineers in maritime and offshore companies.

Overview: Over the course of two days, students will develop, refresh and polish their knowledge of hydraulic engineering for various maritime applications. Offered by the International Centre for Education and Development in Marine Engineering (EDME) and IMPA, the course will provide students with improved knowledge for troubleshooting, better maintaining hydraulic systems and identifying design mistakes. A mixture of lectures, seminars and case study work will be used throughout the course.

Entry Requirements: Entry-level engineering work experience and a basic knowledge of marine hydraulics

Award: Professional Diploma
