IMPA Athens event to focus on debate.
Getting together to discuss the latest purchasing and supply chain matters has proven to be of great value to visitors and stakeholders alike this year. IMPA Hamburg, back in the Spring was the start of IMPA’s concept around bringing together thought leaders and industry front runners to navigate the issues for purchasing managers in today’s dynamic procurement teams.
The one-day Athens event which will be held shortly after the London flagship event on the 24th September, will follow the format with short burst presentations followed by morning and afternoon debate sessions.
IMPA Athens will feature purchasing managers, industry speakers and key supplier stakeholders to present some of the latest thinking in purchasing. Sustainability in the supply chain will be a feature as so much activity is centred around this for purchasing in our industry. This agenda will be complemented by developments from the association with the launch of the new Marine Stores Guide edition along with data and technology advances.
Steven Jones, maritime thought-leader, industry commentator and author will give a keynote presentation covering current insights into the supply chain challenges and opportunities facing shipping in Greece, Europe and the world.
The programme will also look and debate cost reduction strategy in a tough and competitive marketplace, something always on the agenda for purchasing professionals.
Visiting stakeholders will be asked for their input into the programme and the one-day event will focus on providing tangible value for purchasing and supply chain professionals.
